Slope formula: y2-y1/x2-x1

Plug in: -15-0/-11-3 = -15/-14 = 15/14 = slope

For this case we have by definition, the slope of a line can be found by the following formula:

m = \frac {y_ {2} -y_ {1}} {x_ {2} -x_ {1}}

Two points are needed through which the line passes.

According to the data we have:

(x_ {1}, y_ {1}) :( 3,0)\\(x_ {2}, y_ {2}): (- 11, -15)

Substituting we have:

m = \frac {-15-0} {- 11-3} = \frac {-15} {- 14} = \frac {15} {14}

ANswer:

The slope is
\frac {15} {14}
