So the scale factor is 8/4 = 2.

4. Scale Factor = 24/20 = 1.2.

5. 40/32 = 5x / 24

5x = 40*24 / 32

5x = 30

x = 6.

6. 25/30 = 4x + 7 / 42

5/6 = 4x + 7 / 42

6(4x + 7) = 210

24x = 210 - 42 = 168

x = 168/24

x = 7.

7. 40/24 = 3x + 5 / 21

5/3 = (3x + 5) / 21

9x + 15 = 105

9x = 90

x = 10.

8. 24 / 40 = (x + 3) / 15
