5x - 20 = 0

+ 20 + 20 Add 20 on both sides to cancel out -20

5x = 20

/5 /5 Divide by 5 to get x variable alone

4 is the correct answer.

First you do is add by 20 from both sides of an equation.

5x-20+20=0+20

Then, you simplify.

5x=20

You divide by 5 from both sides.

5x/5=20/5

Finally, then you simplify.

20/5=4

X=4 and 4, which is our correct answer.

I hope this helps you!

Have a nice day! :)
