ANSWER

x=4

EXPLANATION

The given equation is

1.5(x + 4) - 3= 4.5(x - 2)

Multiply through by 10

15(x + 4) - 30= 45(x - 2)

We expand to get:

15x + 60 - 30= 45x - 90

Group similar terms to get;

15x - 45x = - 90 - 60+ 30

- 30x = - 120

x= 4

Answer:

B.4

Explanation:

1.5(x+4) - 3 = 4.5( x-2)-----------------------open brackets on both sides

1.5 x +6 -3= 4.5x- 9.................................collect like terms

3+9 = 4.5 x- 1.5x

12=3x..................................divide by 3 both sides to get x

12/3=x

x=4
