Answer:

Crater of Diamonds - The Active U.S. Mine

Although millions of carats of diamonds are consumed each year in the United States, very few diamonds are domestically produced. The only active diamond mine in the country is the Crater of Diamonds Mine near Murfreesboro, Pike County, Arkansas.

Hey there!

The only active diamond mine in the U.S. is called the Crater of Diamonds Mine. It is located close to Murfreesboro, Arkansas.

It's interesting to me that so many diamonds are constantly used in the U.S. but there aren't many domestically produced.

There used to be another commercial diamond mine in Colorado, but in 2002 it was closed due to legal issues.

Hope this helps!
