* Lets solve the problem

- The length of each side of the triangular base is 3"

- The height of the prism is 6"

∵ The volume of the prism = area of the base × its height

∵ The base is equilateral triangle of side length 3"

- The area of any equilateral triangle is √3/4 s²

∴ The area of the base of the prism = √3/4 × (3)² = 9√3/4

∵ The length of the height of the prism is 6"

∴ The volume of the prism = 9√3/4 × 6 = 27√3/2

* The volume of the prism is 27√3/2
