The difference between one-half of a number and one-sixth of the number is equal to ten more than one-eighth of that number.

Which equation could be used to find the number?

1/2n - 1/6 = 10 + 1/8n
1/2 - 1/6n = 10 + 1/8n
1/2n - 1/6n = 10 + 1/8n

Answer:

Explanation:

Let the number = x

(1/2) x - (1/6) x = (1/8)x + 10

It's the third one down. The other two are wrong because the number is not represented in both terms on the left. The questions says 1/2 of the number

and 1/6 of the number. Both require an x.

The answer would be...

1/2n - 1/6n = 10 + 1/8n

^^^That would be the last one

Hope this helped!
