Since they are vertically opposite angles then we can set the two angles equal to each other.

`8x + 30 = 110`

Subtract 30 from both sides

`8x = 110 - 30 \\ 8x = 80`

Divide both sides by 8

`(8x)/(8) = (80)/(8) \\ x = 10`
