Answer:

The x-axis.

Explanation:

That is the x axis. If you imagine that the x-axis is a mirror you will see why. The corresponding points on the pentagon and its image are the same distance from the x-axis.

Answer:

Reflection line is x axis .

Explanation:

Given : Pentagon PQRST and its reflection, pentagon P'Q'R'S'T', are shown in the coordinate plane below.

To find : What is the line of reflection between pentagons PQRST and P'Q'R'S'T'?.

Solution : We have given

Parent pentagon = PQRST.

Reflected pentagon = P'Q'R'S'T'.

Coordinate of pentagon P ( -4 ,6 ) ; Q (-7 ,4) ; R (-6 ,1) ; S (-2 ,1); T(-1 ,4).

Coordinate of pentagon P' ( -4 , -6 ) ; Q (-7 , -4) ; R (-6 ,-1) ; S (-2 ,-1); T(-1 ,-4).

By the reflection rule across x axis : (x ,y) →→ ( x , -y).

Then it is reflection line is x axis .

Therefore, reflection line is x axis .
