Actually it does relate to sin, cos and tan.

* tan50° = 16/b

=> b = 16/tan50° ≈ 13.426

* sin50° = 16/c

=> c = 16/sin50° ≈ 20.887

*cos∠B = 16/c = 16/20.887

=> m∠B ≈ 40.002
