When f(x)=0 , x= -1.8

Explanation:

By looking at the graph we observe that the graph first increases in the interval (-∞,-1.2) and then it decreases in the interval (-1.2,0.6) and then again it increases in the interval (0.6,∞).

Hence, the graph of the function is neither strictly increasing nor strictly decreasing in the whole of the real line.
