DNA is housed in the nucleus of a cell. mRNA comes into the nucleus and transcribes the DNA once it is unwound and unzipped and pairs up the complementary bases except T(Thymine) is replaced by U(Uracil). The mRNA takes this out of the nucleus and continues the process to make proteins. DNA holds the instructions for everything that makes our bodies work. Without DNA everything else would fall apart because there will be no instructions on how to make the proteins we need to survive.
Hope it helps
