Answer:

The regular price of the shoes is $98.

Explanation:

$75 - 0.50x + $6 = $32

Combining the $ terms on the left side, we get $75 + $6 - 0.50x = $32, or

$81 - $32 = 0.50x, or $49 = 0.50x. Then x = $98. The regular price of the shoes is $98.

Answer: 75 -6 - x(50/100) =32

Explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we have to write an equation with the information given:

The amount Lola has (75) minus the price of the pair of socks (6) , and minus the product of the price of the shoes (x) and the percent discount in decimal form (50/100) is equal to the money she has left (32)

Mathematically speaking:

75 -6 - x(50/100) =32

Solving for x:

-0.5x = 32-75+6

--0.5x =-37

x =-37/-0.5

x =$74 ( regular price of the shoes)
