When replace x with 2 in the equation, you get -16

First thing you would do is rewrite the equation substituting x for 2. After that, you would multiply 42 by 2, which would give you 84. From then on, you would subtract 100 from 84, which means the answer would equal -16, therefore f(2) = 42(2)-100= -16

f(2)=42(2)-100

f(2)=84-100

f(2)=-16

Hope this helps! Have a great day! :)
