For this case we have to increase two boxes each time we go to the next row. So:

1 row: 1

2 row: 3

3 row: 5

4 row: 7

5 row: 9

6 row: 11

7 row: 13

Adding the number of boxes we have:

1 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 9 + 11 + 13 = 49

There are 49 boxes!
