No: of experimental outcomes of 1 =3

No: of experimental outcomes of 2 =6

Total no: of Experimental observations=

3+6+1+5+3+2=20 outcomes.

No: of favourable experimental outcomes(outcomes of 1 + outcomes of 2) =3+6= 9 outcomes.

Therefore; Required probability=9/20 =0.45

Question 2

From The figure:The sphere is divided into 8 equal parts of which the letter "R" occupies 4 spaces.

So; Total no: of outcomes =8

No: of Favourable outcomes =4

Required Probability = 4/8 =1/2 =0.5
