If square A has a side of length 5 inches, how many times bigger is the area of square B if it has a side of length 25 inches?

It is given that :

The length of the side of square A = 5 inches

The length of the side of square B = 25 inches

Therefore, area of square A = 5 x 5

= 25 square inches

Similarly, area of square B = 25 x 25

= 625 square inches

Therefore, number of times the square B is bigger than the square A is given by :


$=(625-25)/(25)$


$=(600)/(25)$

= 24

Thus the square B is 24 times bigger than square A
