Rate of change- differentiate the equation

f’(x)= 2x

Average over interval [1,5] - Find rate of change when x=1 and when x=5. Add them and divide by 2

F’(1)=2(1)

F’(1)=2

F’(5)=2(5)

F’(5)=10

Avg. =(2+10)/2

=12/2

=6
