The answer is A because the question 48j5k2 / (-3j3k) you first turn all the positive numbers to negative and all negative to positive. -48j5k2 / (3j3k) Dividing a positive and a negative equals a negative: (+) divide (-) = (-) then calculate the quotient 48j5k2 / (-3j3k) =16j2k

For this case we must find the quotient of the following expression:

\frac {48 * j ^ 5 * k ^ 2} {- 3 * j ^ 3 * k} =

We have to:

\frac {48} {- 3} = - 16

By definition of power properties we have:

\frac {a ^ m} {a ^ n} = a ^ {m-n}

So so:

\frac {48 * j ^ 5 * k ^ 2} {- 3 * j ^ 3 * k} = - 16 * j ^ {5-3} * k^(2-1)=-16*j^2*k

Answer:

Option A
