C. 48.5 cm²

Explanation:

Rectangle area = 8 * 4 = 32 cm²

square area = 3 * 3 = 9 cm²

big side of triangle that is not hipotenusa = 8 - 3 = 5 cm and the smaller side of the triangle is 3.

so the area of the triangle is 3 * 5 / 2 = 15 / 2 = 7.5 cm²

Now adding up all the areas: 32 + 9 + 7.5 = 48.5 cm²
