Step 1: Bring 36 to the right side of the equation by subtracting it to both sides. Remember that subtraction is the opposite of addition and will cancel 36 from the left side of the equation

-6g + (36 - 36) = 12 - 36

-6g + 0 = -24

-6g = -24

Sept 2:: To isolate g divide -6 to both sides. Rememeber that division is the opposite of multiplication and will cancel -6 from the left side fo the equation leaving only the g on that side

-6g / -6 = -24 / -6

g = 4

Hope this helped!
