Okay. if the bill in tax was 5% and the tip is 15% just add them up to make it easier. Now, you have 20%, and you have to now find 20% of 45, make 20% into .20, do .20x45 which equals 9 which represents $9. Finally, add $9 (from tip and tax) to $45 (how much the food cost) = $54
