How do you think you could simplify f(x)+g(x) if f(x)=3x+2 and g(x)=4x?

f(x)+g(x)

f(x)=3x+2 and g(x)=4x

You have:

3x +2 + 4x

Combine like terms:

3x +4x = 7x

The answer becomes 7x +2
