Ken has a souvenir in the shape of triangular prism. He wants to stick decorative paper on all its sides so it is completely covered.

If a = 5 centimeters, w = 10 centimeters, and h = 6 centimeters, what is the area of the decorative paper he will require?

You are finding the surface area of a triangular prism

The advanced formula is bh+2ls+lb which gets you 266.6

Or you can do it the long way... so imagine a triangular prism... a square/rectangle on the bottom and both left and right (3) and 2 triangles on both sides connecting all of the rectangles together... calculate the area of one of the rectangles and a triangle and multiply the triangle by 2 and the rectangle by 3 then add to find the surface area
