pick any two points from the table say (0,-8) and (2,-6)

Now we we can use both points to find the equation of line.

slope
m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(-6--8)/(2-0)=(2)/(2)=1

now plug slope m=1 and any point say (0,-8) into point slope formula


y-y_1=m\left(x-x_1\right)


y--8=1\left(x-0\right)


y+8=1\left(x\right)


y+8=x


y=x-8
