m = (-2 -7)/(-3 -6)

m = -9/-9

m = 1

2. Plug the slope and one of the points into the equation y - y_1 = m(x - x_1).

y - 7 = 1(x - 6)

3. Solve for y.

y - 7 = x - 6

y = x - 6 + 7

y = x + 1

Answer is choice D.
