The answer I got is 10 units

Because you can connect the 2 points and create a right triangle where AB is the hypotenuse, you are able to use the pythagorean theorem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2

When I drew the triangle, side a = 8 units and side b = 6 units

Plugging that in: (8)^2 + (6)^2 = c^2

So, c^2 = 64 + 36 or c^2 = 100

Finally, take the square root of both sides and you get c = 10 units
