Were there more producers than consumers and more consumers than predators on your pyramid? Why or why not? Were there any that could have fit in more than one category?

Answer:

Pyramid -"It is series of levels on which the different organisms are characterized on basis of there ecological levels or properties relating energy consumption or creation."

As some are producers which carry out while using various metabolic pathways to create energy for the whole biosphere or as whole for all the livings begins. As there are other organisms who consumes the energy created in the system or bio-sphere.

Step-by-step explanation:

Pyramid (Ecological level)

  • So, the producers must be in large in number in the ecological level, so, that can be able to create more energy for the entire population of different specie to survive and sustain there body mechanism.
  • And the consumers are there in low in number, due to the reason that there can be little to no scarce of energy. As energy created will be finished in no time,if the consumers are more in number as compared to the producers present on the lower level of the pyramid.

Example:

If due to some reason, the producers at lower level become less in number, then there will be no grass available for the whole livestock population, which will obviously leads to decrease in its total population. As it will be also alarming for the consumers population at upper ecological level, which are also present at a high number or increasing population.Certainly life will be at risk on Earth if the number of producers creating the energy for survival of beings decreases at lower level of the pyramid.
