Given:

In a parallelogram WXYZ, WX=4x+5 and YZ= 7x-22.

To find:

The WX.

Solution:

In parallelogram WXYZ,

WX=YZ [Opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal]

Putting the given values, we get

4x+5=7x-22

Isolating variable terms.

4x-7x=-5-22

-3x=-27

Divide both sides by -3.

x=(-27)/(-3)

x=9

Now,

WX=4x+5

Putting x=9, we get

WX=4(9)+5

WX=36+5

WX=41

Therefore, the value of WX is 41.
