One of the many results of the Nuremberg trials was that the genocide was classified officially as an international crime and if everyone tries to perform such an act will be charged for for it by the international community. This came as a response because of the genocides that occurred during the World War II, with the main focus being on the ones on the Jews, Slavic people, and Gypsies. Weirdly enough, the genocides in Asia performed by the Japanese were not taken into account, even though the Japanese actually managed to perform genocide over large mass of people than the Germans did. Since then, the international community has reacted in numerous occasions to prevent or stop a genocide, but also closed its eyes or reacted to late to multiple others that occurred.
