Two poles are located 3.2m apart. A wire links the tops of the two poles. Find the length of the wire if the poles are 3.8m and 6m in height. (one decimal place)

considering the diagram,the top part is a triangle with the base of 3.2m and height of 2.2m. since the triangle 8s is a right angle triangle. we use Pythagoras theorem to solve for the hypotenus
