Two cars start at the same point and travel in the same direction on the same road. One travels 50 km/h and the other travels at 45 km/h. After how many hours will they be 20 km apart?

4 hours.

Explanation:

For every hour they travel the faster car travels 50-45 = 5 kilometers more than the slower one.

So the time when they are 20 km apart will be 20/5 = 4 hours after the start.
