1. In a shot put event, an athlete throws the shot put with an initial velocity of 38 feet per

second and releases it from a height of 5 feet. How high above the ground is it after 2
seconds

Answer: after two seconds it would be ground level due to the fact that during the 1 second mark it was at 5 feet above ground, so then it would disperse energy going back to ground level, or atleast to 2.5 feet off the ground. This question wouldn’t make sense applied to logic in real life.
