A factory makes sheet metal. If each sheet is 3/16 inch thick, how tall is the stack if there are 14 sheets?

For this case we have that the height of the stack of sheets is given by the number of sheets multiplied by the thickness of each. That is to say:


\frac {3} {16} * 14 = \frac {14 * 3} {16} = \frac {42} {16} = \frac {21} {8} = 2.625

Thus, the height of the stack is 2,625 inches
