The Israelites believed in God, and they were said to be gods people. The Israelites faced many issues though, one of witch was they were captured and used as inslaved workers for Egypt. The Bible has many historical words on the Israelites, how they lived, worked, and the troubles they faced. Ancient Israelites also beloved in the coming of a messiah. This is what separates two biblical groups, the Jews, and the gentiles. The Jews believed that the messiah has still not come, even to modern day. But he/she will come soon. Jews also only belive in the first part of the Bible, the Old Testament. However gentiles (who technically are not from Israelites) are regular Christians. They belive the Jesus Christ was gods sent messiah. They also belive in the New Testament witch is a book on the life of Jesus. Now also gentiles belive in the Old Testament aswell forming what we call The Bible. The Jewish Old Testament is known as the Torah. Hope it helps!
