Hello there!

In this diagram, there are a total of 8 squares, and 3 of them are shaded. This means that 3/8 of them are shaded, and to find what percent this is, divide 3 by 8 and multiply what you get by 100.

3 divided by 8 = 0.375

0.375 x 100 = 37.5%.

37.5% is closest to 38%, so that is your answer!
