For this case we have that the equation of the line in slope-intersection form is given by:

y = mx + b

Where:

m: It's the slope

b: It is the cutoff point with the y axis

By definition, if two lines are parallel, then their slopes are equal.

So, all the lines parallel to
y = 3x + 5

will be given in the form:

y = 3x + b

Where b can take any value.

Answer:

y = 3x + b
