Yes because a and b are both right angle triangles and a is doubled to get the size of b

Explanation:

Let us look at the side lengths. When we are talking about scale copies, the lengths should stay proportionate from the original shape to the copy.

Both of the figures are triangles. I will be looking at the length of their legs. Figure A has leg lengths of 4 and 3. Figure B has leg lengths of 8 and 6, respectively.

This means Figure B is a scale copy of Figure A because 8/4=2 and 6/3=2. These mean the proportions stayed similar.
