p(m) = 2m^2 - 4m + 3
p(1/3) = 2(1/3)^2 - 4(1/3) + 3
= 2(1/9) - 4/3 + 3
= 1/3 - 4/3 + 9/3
= -3/3 + 9/3
= 6/3
= 2
