Answer: 8, 0, -12

1. This is the equation of a line y=mx +b. All you have to do it substitute your x values into the x in the equation.

y=2(6)-4

y=8

y=2(2)-4

y=0

y=2(-4)-4

y=-12

Just plug in the values for what you are given, you plug in the value for x and solve for y.

For this case we have a function of the form
y = f (x)

Where
f (x) = 2x-4

We must find the values of "and" when:

  • x = 6\\y = 2 (6) -4\\y = 12-4\\y = 8

  • x = 2\\y = 2 (2) -4\\y = 4-4\\y = 0

  • x = -4\\y = 2 (-4) -4\\y = -8-4\\y = -12

ANswer:

8,0, -12

Option C
