Which trig function and ratio would you use to solve the following?

tan 30 = x4

sin 30 = 4x

cos 30 = x4

cos 30 = 4x

Answer:

cos(30)= (4)/(x)

Explanation:

WE use the given triangle to solve for x

Given triangle is right angle triangle , so we use trigonometric rations

WE know

sin = opposite side / hypotenuse

cos = adjacent side / hypotenuse

tan= opposite side / adjacent side

For angle 30 degree, the hypotenuse is x

adjacent side have side length 4

we know the hypotenuse and adjacent side so we use cos

cos(30)= (adjacent)/(hypotenuse)

cos(30)= (4)/(x)
