WE use the given triangle to solve for x

Given triangle is right angle triangle , so we use trigonometric rations

WE know

sin = opposite side / hypotenuse

cos = adjacent side / hypotenuse

tan= opposite side / adjacent side

For angle 30 degree, the hypotenuse is x

adjacent side have side length 4

we know the hypotenuse and adjacent side so we use cos


cos(30)= (adjacent)/(hypotenuse)


cos(30)= (4)/(x)
