Answer:

The shaded area is 21.03097999
cm^2

(I don't know how many decimal placed you need to round to so I included as many as I had.)

Explanation:

To find this we must find the area of the square and the area of the circle

We know that one side of the square is 14

This means that its area is

14^2=196

We know that the radius of the circle is 7 and that the equation for the radius of a circle is
A=\pi r^(2)

This means that we can substitute in our know value

A=\pi (7^2)\\\\A=49 \pi\\\\A=153.93804

Now we can find half of the difference of these in order to find the shaded area.

(1)/(2) (196-153.93804)\\\\21.03097999
