For this case we have that by definition, the formula to count the total number of different permutations is:


nP_ {r} = \frac {n!} {(n-r)!}

SUstituyendo:


n = 8\\r = 5

We have:


8P_ {5} = \frac {8!} {(8-5)!} = \frac {8!} {3!} = \frac {8 * 7 * 6 * 5 * 4 * 3!} {3! } = 6720

ANswer:


8P_ {5} = 6720
