A wall map is 45 cm high and 27 cm wide. Ashley wants to proportionately shrink it so its height is 12 cm. How wide would it be then?

To shrink the height it has to be shrunk by:

27 / x = 12

x = 2.25 times

The width would be 45 / 2.25 =
