Explanation:

we use sin because we have the opposite angle and we want the hypotenuse.


(sin 30)/(1)=
(18.73)/(x)

now we cross 18.73 by 1 and we get calculate sin 30 (deg) to get 0.5

then we cross multiply 0.5 by x

so now we have:

0.5x=18.73

then we divide both sides by 0.5 to get 37.46.
