How to write a persuasive article?

A persuasive essay/article should contain the following:

- a strong thesis

- 2-3 body paraphrase

- the use of pathos, ethos, and/or logos

- supporting evidence (anecdotal, quantitive, qualitative, statistical, etc.)

- strong introduction and conclusion paragraphs which restate the main argument of the essay

To write a pursuasive essay about any topic would be structured like this. First, ask yourself how you feel about it. Do you believe parents should wait till highschool or a bit earlier than that? Once you have your answer, go from there!

You would start with a hook. A good hook would be a fact about the topic. Or a quote from someone about the topic. Then you would write your thesis. Thesis would be a sentence or 2 about each arguement for the topic.

Then find 2 reasons to back up YOUR opinion. These should be the 1st and 3rd body paragraphs. But the 2nd one will be a counterclaim to your opinion. So you would be arguing for a person who has a different opinion than yours.

Body paragraphs should be structured as being a fact or quote first. then your analysis about that fact or quote to show why its important to your arguement.

conclusion should restate your thesis from the intro and should also contain final thoughts on your essay.
