Both point A and B are on the x-axis so both of them have a y value of 0

To find the x value of A, we have to substitute y = 0 into the equation

2x + 8 = 0

x = -4, so the coordinate for A is A(-4,0)

As AB is 9 units, we can figure out that B(5,0)

Substitute x = 5 and y = 0 into the equation y = 2x + c to find c

0 = 2(5) + c

c = -10

So m = 2 and c = -10
