Short answer (Assuming you are trying to find the value of n):

Equation solution: -2.5

Value of n: -3.25

I assume you wanna find the value of n

First step is to do the first equation

remember that that / sign is division

-5 divided by 2 = -2.5

Now start the equation with n

3 divided by 4 = 0.75

so n must be a negative because that is the only way the number will go into the negatives when your adding

Since subtracting a positive is the same as adding a negative, we can just find the number that when subtracted from 0.75 gives us -2.5 and flip the sign.

0.75 - 3.25 = -2.5

Your answer is -3.25

Answer:

-3 1/4 =n

Explanation:

First you want to make it so that all of the fractions have the same demominator.

-10/4=3/4+n

Then you solve.

-10/4=3/4+n Subtract 3/4 from both sides

-13/4=n Simplify

-3 1/4=n Your answer is -3 1/4=n
