Hi!

The equation we're working with is in Slope-Intercept form:

  • y=mx+b,

Where:

  • m is the slope
  • b is the y-intercept.

Slope -> coefficient of x (the number before x)

Y-intercept -> a constant (a number) added to or subtracted from the slope.

Therefore,

  • Slope -> 3
  • Y-intercept -> -5.

Cheers! :)

I hope that helped, have a great day! :)

Slope-intercept form: y = mx + b (m is the slope, b is the y-intercept or the y value when x = 0 ---> (0 , y))

y = mx + b

y = 3x - 5

slope(m) = 3

y-int(b) = -5
