You can use proportions to find the answer.

20/100=?/11.95

20*11.95=239

239/100=2.39

So the discount takes $2.39 off of the original price.

11.95-2.39=9.56

7/100=?/9.56

7*9.56=66.92

66.93/100=0.6692

Round to nearest tenth: 0.67

9.56+0.67=10.23

The final cost of the CD is $10.23
